By the year 2000 his reputation and success attracted the attention of many celebrities who quickly booked him for their private parties, including Priscilla Presley, Julio Iglesias, Eddie Murphy, Lawrence Taylor and Yves Saint Laurent. During the mid to late 2000’s Carlos performed at Saci’s, Hush, and the renowned Flamingo in NYC. Carlos continues to perform at private venues around the world and has also launched his global radio station Backto54Radio.com. For me vinyl creates a warm, rich and deep experience as the needle glides through the grooves ; that cannot be replicated. There is just something about a faint hiss, click or pop on a record that just draws you in. Musical influences have been Northern Soul, Modern Soul, and Early House. These are all incorporated in my sets which include classic soul and of course those ‘Guilty Pleasures’ that we all treasure.
