“Upbeat, feel-good vibes and an unquestionable groove.” That’s how Martin describes himself as a DJ. His story started backwards. While most Dutch DJs begin locally, Martin set himself apart by becoming a regular DJ for Squares in NYC. This, alongside several other clubs in the Meatpacking District, made Martin fall in love with performing his handpicked records. His musical selections are not only therapeutic to him but also to the audiences he connects with. Playing over 70 gigs a year, Martin splits his time between Stockholm and the Netherlands, working with top-tier clients such as H&M, The Harbour Club, W Hotel, Omaka, and Håktet, to name a few. His performances have ranged from intimate club settings to commanding festival crowds of over 10,000 people. Having grown up on his parents’ 70s disco records and the synth-infused sounds of the 80s, Martin developed a unique taste for soulful and groovy music. This fusion became his foundation for creating a signature sound: soulful synth work, groovy basslines, and occasional vocal lines, all layered over foot-shuffling house beats. “For me, it’s all about maintaining a constant flow between the records you secretly crave. Performing music that makes you feel good and gets you moving is what drives me.”
