DJ Delusion is a Colorado Springs-based DJ with roots in the Milwaukee and Chicago underground electronic music scenes. Starting behind the decks in 2001, Delusion came up during the vinyl era, developing a style built around long blends, precise phrasing, creative transitions and reading the dance floor. Over the years, Delusion held multi-year residencies at La Cage and Mona’s in Milwaukee, performed at Circuit in Chicago, Fluid in Milwaukee, The Rave, Midwest Freak Fest at Shawnee Cave, Barnyard Boogies and Denver PrideFest, and appeared on event lineups alongside artists including Paul Oakenfold, Bad Boy Bill, Nigel Richards and Frankie Bones. After stepping away from regular performances, DJ Delusion returned to the decks in 2026, bringing more than two decades of experience into a new chapter. Musically, Delusion lives where funky house, jackin’ house, driving house, tech house and techno collide. Influenced by artists including DJ Dan, Bryan Cox and Mark Almaria, his sets combine the attitude and groove of classic underground house with contemporary club production. Expect dirty basslines, relentless percussion, carefully placed vocals and the occasional classic that still deserves to destroy a dance floor. Rather than treating a performance as a playlist, Delusion builds a musical journey. Energy rises, releases and rebuilds throughout the set. Extended blends allow grooves from different records to interact, while tempo, phrasing and track selection are manipulated to create transitions that often become part of the music themselves. Vinyl remains an important part of that identity. Delusion combines traditional turntable technique with modern DJ technology, preserving the hands-on approach of riding pitch, controlling records and working a mix by ear while taking advantage of what today's equipment makes possible. Whether performing a focused club set, an extended underground session, festival appearance or special event, the objective remains the same: Read the room. Build the groove. Take the crowd somewhere. After more than two decades in electronic music, DJ Delusion isn't interested in recreating the past. The records, techniques and experiences that shaped the sound are simply the foundation for what's coming next.
