Parallel Attractions is a Brooklyn-raised DJ and record collector whose dynamic sets have earned her a reputation as one of the most versatile and in-demand open-format DJs on both coasts. With over 15 years of experience behind the decks, she’s played everything from intimate neighborhood bars to major events, and her musical journey has taken her to venues from New York to Los Angeles, and everywhere in between. Known for her impeccable ability to read the room, Parallel Attractions delivers a seamless mix of beats, keeping the crowd engaged and grooving all night long. Whether it's the infectious energy of disco classics, house music deep cuts, international boogie tracks, or dreamy retro dance remixes, her sets never fail to please. In addition to her monthly residencies at some of Los Angeles' most iconic bars and venues, Parallel Attractions has brought her musical flair to high-profile, sponsored events for global brands like Dior, Dr. Martens, The Broad Museum, Dash Radio, and Lomography. Irena is top notch, the icing on the cake!

When I was on the hunt for a vinyl DJ for my special 40th birthday celebration, a friend of mine recommended Irena. And boy oh boy am I glad that she did! From our first connects, Irena was timely with her responses, professional and friendly, up front about costs and thorough with all details. As a very detail-oriented person myself, you can imagine how excited I was about this. My party was an incredible celebration and it would not have been the same without her. Afterward, friends have gone out of their way to compliment the event and the music. Some friends and I have even made a point to go out and dance the night away to Irena DJing in cool clubs around town and plan to again and again. If you are looking for a DJ for a special party or event, I would absolutely recommend Irena with Parallel Attractions!
