KP (born Mario Williams) is an American music producer, songwriter, and DJ. Born & raised in Columbus Ohio, Williams began honing his skill as an emcee in the mid 1990's by freestyle rapping with childhood friends. Also rapping at community events, house parties and joining in on hip-hop cyphers whenever possible. Years later he went on to establish KP Studios as well as engineering recording sessions for other studios around Columbus. During this time he worked almost exclusively behind the scenes intent on utilizing his talent as a producer to satisfy his deep passion for music while allowing private life to have precedence over touring. Eventually, inspired by his family and peers, Mario finally decided to pursue a career as a working musician and began a journey to book live shows, collaborate with other artist, independently release music and gain recognition within the music industry.
